Soul Connections

In my younger days, I believed deeply in soulmates of a singular nature. I thought there was a one and only, that he was tall and handsome and that, perhaps, I’d already had and lost him.

Fast forward 30 years or so and I realize life is about soul connections of many sorts.

I’m most pleasantly surprised by the powerful relationships I have with women, people whom I’ve met where the connection seems sudden, yet aged, as if we’ve known each other for years or in other lifetimes.

I hate the cliché so often used about friends as family. Honestly, I don’t believe in it. Family is family with bloodlines that make it so.

Soul connections, however, with family or otherwise, are more powerful, long lasting and often more significant.

When it comes to mates, my heart is open to that connection. There have been times I thought I felt it and times when I’m sure I did.

Connections are all about timing and presence. Even when things feel right, we must take into account the state of mind and spirit of each person that can propel or preclude consummation.

I’m excited, knowing that there are possibilities that haven’t presented themselves yet in all areas of my life.

As we move into this holiday season, it’s a great time to acknowledge the loves of our lives, the ride or dies, the ones who pick up the phone at 2 A.M., who share their joy generously, who make us laugh, think, who comfort us when we cry, and chill with us at sunset and sunrise.

That is what unconditional love looks and feels like and this is what we’re celebrating, the love of and for friends, family, and moreover, God, Allah, Jehovah, Yahweh, Mother Nature, the Universe or whatever name you choose.

Blessings to you always.

Love,

Seanne
